| I am an undergrad at NYU studying Economics and I have a high GPA. I want to do consulting but I really don't know which sector to work in. I am a people person and I prefer to work in a sector that involves a lot of human interaction and less number crunching. Even though my major is Econ, I don't really enjoy it too much so I'm pretty sure I don't want to do Economic Consulting. Please help! Thanks Energy Consulting Economic Consulting Financial Consulting Human Resources Consulting Operations Consulting Pharmaceutical Consulting |
| Answer: If you don't want to do "number cruching" you might want to reconsider consulting, graduate entry level is usually as an analyst, which involves a lot of crunching and reserching. The big consultants cross industries maybe you should consider one of these at least you would get some variaty and will be better able to chose an industry later on. |
